Minute Sheet Discussion Summary
The four members of our group held a 15 minute meeting during a lesson on Monday 21st September. Up to this point we had decided to do a Music Video as opposed to a film and it was now time to discuss which artist we would use and which song we would do a video for.
First we had to decide upon a genre and so we all listed our favourite genres and the one’s which we thought we could make a good video out of. We discussed both positive and negative points for the genre’s and narrowed it down to just two which we thought we could do. In the end the group voted to do dub step, hip hop and break beat band Chase and Status.
We then quickly listed as many Chase and Status songs as possible and listed the pros and cons for each one. Some people were in favour of one song and some were in favour of another but as a group we eventually decided to do a video for the song ‘Let you go’.
The original video sees a man, who is a TV presenter for a British Daytime Talk Show, helping out some people on his show with their problems and then, after leaving the studio, it becomes clear that he has plenty of problems himself. He lives a double life as after scathing his guests, he buys drugs and gets drunk. We discusses several ways in which we could do a music video to the music.
