Location Report

Here is a bedroom in my house that we decided would work the best to film the opening scene of the doctor waking up in bed. We believed this shot was appropriate because as a group we felt it looked like a wealthy person’s bedroom but also because the lighting was good to film in.

Here is the Bathroom from the same house. As a group we feel this was the best place to shot a bathroom scene as it was only a month old therefore it looked modern, posh and a wealthy bathroom. This helped reflect the impression of this doctor having a wealthy lifestyle. We also liked this location as the lighting was very good making the film look more smooth and clear.
This is the kitchen from the same house again. We feel this kitchen is appropriate because we are staying in the same location but this kitchen is again modern and does give the audience an impression of a wealthy big house. We feel the lighting is also good in this room and therefore will help make the film look more smooth and clear.

Here is our town’s local medical centre where we filmed the doctor walking in and out from work. We did have to ask for permission to film outside, and they thankfully said it would not be a problem. As a group we think it was appropriate to film here as it tells the audience that this man works at a medical centre and therefore is in a high paid job that helps others.

This office is our head of college’s office. To film in her office we did need to ask for permission but she thankfully said it would not be a problem. To make this room look more like it belongs in a health centre we decided as a group to borrow health poster from the P.E and P.S.H.E departments but also a skeleton model from the biology department. Agian we did ask for permission to use these items but it was not a problem and they let us use them. We feel this location was appropriate because it was an easily accessible place to film, the lighting was good because of the tall windows but because in the end it did look like a office which belongs in a medical centre.

Here is another room from my house the conservatory. Here we filmed the DJ lighting and the DJ equipment to represent a nightclub. We decided to use this location because it gets very dark easily but because this is where I keep my DJ equipment already. This means there was less hassle of moving items around. As a group we decided to also use the floodlights to help highlight out any parts we wanted to film that was too dark for the natural light. This is shown in the picture

Here is a local park in our town which we decided to show the doctor portraying his childish side (completely opposite to what the audience would think is his normal behaviour) As a group we feel this was an appropriate location to film was because it is a quite park meaning no hassle from the public but also because it was a very local park from the house we previously filmed in

This location is a local industrial estate where we decided to film the CCTV style shots, the drug deal and the running over scene. This was an appropriate location to film because these types of places are where you normally think of drug deals to take place. It was also a good place to film because we made very good use of the flood lights down the industrial estate to highlight the drug deal taking place. We decided to film the running over scene here as well because after 6 it is quite and therefore safe to film this scene.

The final location we filmed at was the town centre of our local town called ‘Market Drayton’ we filmed around the town to show the main character stumbling through the streets. To film when we wouldn’t be filming the public or have any hassle from the public we had to go out filming between 1am – 3am. We feel this was an appropriate location to film was because it is where you would normally see drunken people staggering through the streets but also because there is plenty of light for us to film in and it was our local town so easy to go film in.
