Research - Print Product analysis - Magazine adverts

Introduction – Magazine advert

Advertising is a form of communication intended to persuade an audience to purchase or take some action upon products, or services. It usually includes the name of a product or service and how that product or service could benefit the consumer, to persuade a target market to purchase or to consume that particular brand. Advertising can also serve to communicate an idea to a large number of people in an attempt to convince them to take a certain action.

This advert looks ‘busy’ meaning it has a big impact on the audience.

The advert contains the name of the event, what is included at the event, the date and contact information.

The main focal point on the advert is the information telling us when and where the event is held. This has been achieved by making it look 3D and therefore making it jump out to the audience, drawing their attention.

There are really only three colours used in the advert, Black, yellow and white. The colours used are dark and bright meaning they contrast, this helps make it eye catching by making certain parts jump out at you. It helps describe the mood of the event, which reflect fast paced and wild.

The information on the poster contains such items as a telephone number, website, and event details.

I will use these features of the advert jumping out on our music video advert.
