Camera Research

Camera Angles, Shot, Movement and Position
Here is some of the camera techniques used to make films. To make my film look as real and professional as possible I will need to use most of the following:


Establishing shot – Will be used at the start of the music video to show the audience where the video is taking place

Close-up
Wide shot

High angle – Will be used to show the audience is of higher authority than the character being shown
Aerial Shot
PanTilt

Dolly – Will be used to show the audience the surroundings within the video
Framing
Hand-held


Master shot – Will be used to show our main character working into work
Two-shot
Long shot


Low angle – Will be used to show the audience is of lower authority than the character being shown

Point of view

Zoom/reverse zoom – Will be used to emphasis the expressions on characters faces
Composition

Sound & Vision Editing
Here are some of the editing techniques used to make and finish off music videos. To make my video look as real and professional as possible I will need to include most of the following:

  • Edit
  • Dissolve
  • Superimpose
  • Synchronous/asynchronous sound
  • Slow motion
  • Long take
  • Fade
  • FX
