This is the artist we have chosen to base our music video on. In the beginning of the video we are introduced to a Jeremy Kyle style - like figure, who is shown hosting his own TV chat show, helping people with problems. In this part of the video lighting is used to contrast the good and evil portrayed. When the camera is on him it is bright, one way the director used this idea was to have a studio light pan up over his head. The dark light is shown to portray people on his show that are taking drugs, getting drunk and that have relationship problems. Therefore the audience can easily between good and bad. In this first scene we see camera shots such as pan, over the shoulder, zoomed shot, face shot, action shot and slow-motion shot
However, the night before the camera follows him as he takes drugs, get drunk, sleeps with different woman and crashes his car. This therefore shows him contradicting his TV personality and shows he has a wild personal life. And the way the director portrays this is through camera angles and editing techniques such as the storyline now being filmed at night using the low light as an indication to the audience of him being evil. There is many close ups of him to show his physical state of sadness and tiredness but also his portray his mental state of betrayal and going downhill. After all his drinking and drug taking he finally ends up crashing his car. This shows us that he has lost all control in himself.
However the next morning is shown with him back to work and the make-ups artists covering up his face with make-up to hide the signs of the night before. There is a quick shot of him with his family looking happy and then he starts his show. This gives us a myth ideology of people can live double lives.

This is the music video we discussed and watch as a group in class. In the beginning of the video we are introduced to a man lying down in a cardboard cut out which had been painted to look like a field. In this part of the video everything is in red, this symbolizes to the audience danger and that this character is not trustworthy. During the chorus of the song the man (Henry Rollins) turns into the devil with fire blazing all around him, again warning the audience of danger and that he is revealing his true self and therefore he is a liar. Also low lighting is used to portray the evil expressed in the video.
After the scene with the devil the man changes character between a nun, a policeman and superman, this is again to tell the audience that these figures that are shown to use such the hero that saves the day and rescues us, the policeman that is a public reassurance and the nun which is a helper of God can also not be trustworthy.
The whole video is shot in front of a cardboard cut out to show the audience everything in this world is fake and there is deception all around us with no clear passage to the truth.
Therefore the myth ideology of this music video is that everyone is fake and not trustworthy

In the beginning of the video we are introduced to a woman walking towards the camera and a lot of people dancing at a pool party. The setting for this video seems to be set in sunny Spain, because it is very hot, there all at a pool party at a villa and there is a mention of this setting in the lyrics. In this part of the video everyone is happy and having a good time dancing with each other, this symbolizes to the audience that going on holiday is a pleasant and enjoying thing to do. Lighting is used to portray the sun, heat and the facial expressions of the people at the party.
After the woman shown at the beginning of the video arrives to the villa we realise there are very few males at this party, we can just see woman in just their bikinis dancing around. The audience can see this is a very high security and very wealthy pool party because get quick shots of the cars parked outside, the jewellery people are wearing and the champagne they are drinking.
Throughout the video we see camera shots such as pan, over the shoulder, zoom shot, face shot, action shot, bird’s eye view, establishing shot and slow-motion shot
Therefore the myth ideology of this music video is that everyone should join the artist in Spain for wild parties’ where only beautiful woman are invited.

This artist has made a big impact in the music industry with this Drum and Bass song. And our groups’ music is associated with the same genre of this music video.
In the beginning of the video we are introduced to a play park set in a downtown American city. All we see is children playing sports such as basketball and playing on scooters. In this part of the video everyone is happy and having a good time playing and dancing while playing hopscotch, this symbolizes to the audience that children can play together in harmony and dismiss the stereotypes of teenagers living in a downtown city in America. Lighting is used to portray the sun, heat and the facial expressions of the people in the park.
As the video continuous we notice the age of the children increases with time and that dancing while jumping a skipping rope becomes more of a competition. This symbolises the close bond this neighbourhood of people have together.
Throughout the video we see camera shots such as pan, zoom shot, face shot, action shot, establishing shot and slow-motion shot
Therefore the myth ideology of this music video is that everyone should have a better bond with the people will live with and play in harmony together.

This artist has made a big impact in the music industry with this Dubstep song ‘On A Mission’. And our groups’ music is associated with the same genre of this music video.
In the beginning of the video we are shown an establishing shot of the location set in the film which is London because we are shown the Millennium Dome. Then we are immediately shown being in a nightclub where there is no natural light just glowing coloured lights from the disco lights.
As the music video hits the chorus of the song the coloured lights in the nightclub increase and we are shown hundreds of people on a dance floor jumping up and down. This symbolises people are having a good time and the colours used portray the fun side of life with happy colours such as yellow, orange and blue.
To continue to tell the audience the video is set in a nightclub small, fast shots of DJ equipment is shown and people on the dance floor are displayed. However we also have quick, short shots of the artist sitting in her dressing room singing to the song. This is to show she is the artist and to help break up the continuous filming in the nightclub. This may be a very useful technique to use in our music video as we would like to film a short amount of our video in a nightclub.
Throughout the video we see camera shots such as pan, zoom shot, face shot, action shot, establishing shot and slow-motion shot
